The Bag Lady. We aren't really sure why this lady is wrapped up in plastic bags...maybe protesting the use of so many and their effects on the environment. Overall, we noticed that people in Hong Kong dress much more conservatively and modestly than in the United States.
The Villian Hitter. Canal Street is the only place you can find the Villian Hitters. They set up "shop" under the overpass and are available to take care of any villian you may have, for a fee. They perform a little ceremony with their incense, joss sticks and yellow paper tigers. Then they take a shoe and beat the heck out of any villians in your life with the heel, as this lady is doing...we think.
What are the chances? This is one of those amazing coincidence stories. So, there we are, admiring Big Buddha with several hundred other tourists who have made their way up the stairway of over 200 stairs. I happened to notice a girl with the sign "Lunt Motor" on the front of her T-shirt. Spence's cousin, Mitchell Lunt, owned Lunt Motor in Cedar City, so I nudged Spence and asked him how many Lunt Motors he thought there were in the world. As she walked by, we noticed the back of the T-shirt.....it was from THE Lunt Motor in Cedar!!! She couldn't speak a word of English and couldn't figure out why we were making such a big deal out of her T-shirt. Her boyfriend was kind, however, and agreed to a picture. So how did that shirt get there? If only it could tell us!
