This food market is in a handy location right near our apartment. We can get most fruit and vegetables...from some we recognize to many we don't! This is what we refer to as a "Green Stand". Can you tell why? Check out the length of the beans near the front.

This colorful fruit stand is one of our favorites. We liked the Dragon Fruit (pink, rear) as well as the Dragon Eyes (front, right). Other favorites were the Asian Pears and of course, apples, bananas, and some whose names we don't know.

Sandwiched in between the fruit stands are the seafood stands. You can buy almost any type of sea creature here...oysters, shrimp, lobster, geo duck, squid, every imaginable kind of fish, and more! All are very fresh...some still alive!

Meat stands with pork, beef and (live) chickens also abound. The meat is cut up in the morning, hangs there all day unrefrigerated, and is cleaned up at night. Never a problem with it, say the Chinese, and it, too, is very fresh! The best part about shopping in HK is that there's NO SALES TAX!!
